HBA CARDS MONITORING

Question

Hi Guys,

We are new to Solarwinds and we want to find out if there was a way to monitor the HBA cards connected to a Physical SQL Server which has Logs storage on the Netapp SAN.

Please advise if anyone knows if this can be setup in Solarwinds and how can we set it up.

Hi Aman, Orion does not have native support of HBA, but Solarwinds has acquired a new application that can monitor HBA and Storage Arrays, and show you end to end mapping.  Check out Profiler at http://www.tek-tools.com.  It is very easy to install and configure, just like Orion. Cheers, Brian

Hi Aman-

If I understand what you are saying correctly, you will need to create custom poller to poll the device and monitor the HBA cards.
