Virtual Machines Not Showing up under ESX 3.5 Host

I was very excited to install 9.1 and finally be able to monitor my vm's properly, but to my surprise all I see under the host are the esx host information (nics/cpu & mem/storage). Am I missing something? When I run the free tool it shows the vm's, so I assume my host is configured properly. Any help would be great... Thanks..

It could just be using the Node Details view instead of the ESX Details view. Check under Admin > Account Views and see if your account's node details view is set for "By Device Type".

am I missing something where is this in Orion? I have 9.2 and I am not seeing any ESX stuff at all for views.

I have the free tool that was just made available is there another download for Orion?

The ESX servers resources show, but there is no information on the virtual machines that reside on the ESX server. The free vm monitor application shows the stats for the virtual machines (but doesn't work for multiple ESX servers). How do we get this functionality in orion?

This should be working in 9.1 with no additional downloads required. Aside from using Tim's suggestion above, if you are seeing the ESX Details page but some or none of your VMs are showing in the VM list, try this:

In your VirtualMachines table there is a column VMConfigFile. This column is set to varchar(100). This hasn't been sufficient size for some customers so change this column to be varchar(200) and you might see a change. If not, we will need to take a closer look at your specific case by you opening a ticket.

I guess it would help if we were on 9.1 instead of 9.0sp2. Thanks for the help.

I am also only on 9.0 sp2 where is 9.1 ? Has this been released or is it still in Beta I do not see it available in my Customer download section.
