response time alert not working properly

I have an advanced alert set to email me when a node response time exceeds 2500 ms (or so I think). In the trigger conditions tab, I have a simple condition that identifies the node, and a simple condition for response time is greater or equal to 2500. I am getting alerts for any and all response times none of which are at or above 2500. What did I do wrong?

Well, the alert looks fine. Do you possibly have another alert with a similar name but different conditions?

As part of your troubleshooting, did you define an action that would output the response time to get an idea what value it's receiving?

Yes, I configured an email delivery that gives the response time and identifies the offending node along with the event time (I hope). It is enabled on the network, and as of is not sending false positives.

I lowered the trigger to 150 ms. I just got several alerts that appear to be working correctly, but the event time did not populate - all I see is the SQL variable in teh message body. Also, one or two of the alert mesages are missing the response time as if there was no value in the DB.

Ideas? It looks like I am close though.

What macro/variable did you use in the alert?

I'm curious where you picked up the ${EventTime} variable. I couldn't find anything in the admin guide for it. What about testing it with either the ${AlertTriggerTime}, ${Time} or ${DateTime} variable?
