Windows Srv + SNMP Down = not warning state

Question

HI Forum members,

One issue I keep having with my Windows sysadmins is SNMP service not restarting properly after a reboot. While thats their problem to fix, sometimes it goes unnoticed. While this is happening Orion sees the node as up (ICMP is working) but is unable to collect Ethernet stats etc. I tried to set up an alert for this condition and the best thing would be if the Node is in a warning state. Isn't it logical that Orion would set the state of a Node to warning if it cannot monitor it with SNMP. Any suggestions are appreciated.

This solution will probably work for me -  but I see where it might not for others - so I am kinda wondering, though, what the devel team thinks of the idea that a node should be in warning state if not responding to SNMP.
