When we purchased Orion NPM our Sales engineer informed us that there would be a newer release of NPM that was a more fully integrated version.
Does anyone know any additional information regarding this version or possible release dates?
Thanks
OK, this helps. Orion NPM 9.5 and NCM 5.5, which was released at the end of May, both now support SQL 2008.
See here for what's new in NCM 5.5

by the way they refferred to it as Version 10 but I opened a case and they didn't seem to know anything regarding this version.
thats a salesman for ya! lol.
I think the next major release will be ver 9.6 but thats just hear say, and I have no idea when it will come out.
Can you explain further what you mean by a more fully integrated version? What problem are you looking to solve with the product?
The new version was to be SQL 2008 compliant and by fully integrated I mean that NPM and NCM were suppose to be fully integrated into a single console so that port contention was not occurring as it does now.
Brandon,
Does this also have the NPM and NCM integrated now or is that still a few revisions away?
So NCM ships with an integration module, which was enhanced in NCM 5.5, you can see what the latest version looks like here
So what does integrated mean to you?
Laughs, currently we can't use NCM and NPM at he same time as they use the same ports so integrated to me means I can use both at the same time with no conteniton for the smae ports.
Is there a requirment that you use port 80? We have both NCM and NPM installed on the same server. NCM just uses a different port.
Eric is correct. And, if you install the NCM integration module on your Orion website, you don't need the NCM standalone website.
I am looking at a better intergration with the database. I would like to maintain one database instead of two. Will there be a release where this will happen?
