Determining configured alerts per object
jimmo
Hi All!
Is there any easy way of determining what alerts are configure for a particular object. For example, we monitor disk space of several hundred partitions and depending on the type of information we have different alert thresholds. In order to check what threshold is set for a particular partition, I go into the various alerts one-by-one to check if an alert is set for the object. That is, I see what objects are monitored for a specific alert. I want to go the other way around and see what alerts are configured for a specific object. Is that possible?
regards,
jimmo

Unfortunately no.
I'm reworking my alerts to be based on custom fields I've created in the database. This way I ,or anyone else, can go to each object via the web and see what alerts have been enabled and who is getting alerted for the object.

Yes there is a way, but his involves a bit of MS SQL code.

Ross Warren has kindly posted his custom SQL query that does exactly what you are asking.
