List Resources Question

Dears,

Do we have any option to control which resources can Orion list when pressing the List resources button ?

to clarify , we have some routers have alot of virtual interfaces which takes long time ( around 15 mins ) to discover and list ... do we have any option to control the interfaces to be listed in order to finish in just a minute or less instead of 15 mins ( for example to list only physical interfaces ) ??

the issue is that even we waited this long time to make list resources .. after we select the missing interfaces and press submit . we have to wait more than 30 mins in order to finish the operation which is too boring

Unfortunately with that many interfaces, performing an on-demand enumeration will take awhile- how long is dependant upon hardware. One thing that could be done to at least avoid the wait is to setup a scheduled discovery with auto-import. At least that way, you would not need to wait or perform any manipulation in the UI.

Dear rob,

Almost 20,000 interfaces , we are working on Orion 10 on windows server 2008 R2

need to add that after pushing the submit button , there is no notification or page loading declaring that the process is working ... but nothing happen for hours .

Tested the same on a small device with 100 interfaces and the process working well !!

At present we would not have the ability to filter pre (or during discovery.) How many interfaces are we talking about, and on what gear?
