Can Rediscovery detect IP address changes?

Does the Rediscovery function in NPM have the ability to detect changes in the IP address of an existing node?

rediscovery: only on the non-monitored interfaces (if the polling IP changed the rediscovery will not be able to reach it)

discovery: no idea, do not use (IMNSHO this is the single most pointless function in any network management application)
