Hi i did post this query about a year ago but I'm still not sure if it's available in V9?
Can you remove a module from users views.
We have user who we do not want to be able to click onto the wireless or voip modules?
Many Thanks
Sam
Yes, this is in 9.0. To hide a module from a user, edit that user account in the website. Expand <account name>'s VoIP Monitor Settings (or Wireless or whatever) and set the VoIP Summary View to 'None'. If you hide all of the installed modules from a user, they won't see the Modules bar at all.
That's great.
I'm not having any luck with this.
Can someone confirm that it actually works ?
I'm trying to hide the 'wireless' module from certain users.
I have "Wireless Client View" and "Wireless Session View" set to 'none'...but it still shows up.
While I don't have any Orion modules, I have Orion NCM web integration. Setting the default view to 'None' on non-admin accounts does work. Is it possible that the local machines have cached the page? Can you try having all your users clear their cache?
Thanks for the reply, tried clearing webcache and local machine web browser cache with no luck...
Maybe i'm not lookin in proper place ?...
The Wireless module can't be hidden/removed/.etc. - it may be a bug as of July 2008 - see my post about this ...
and as of today the problem persists.

thanks for the reply.
Crazy that a bug still exists since July '08.
Maybe it fell thru the cracks ?...hopefully admins will catch this and escalate.
