Netpath services 2019.2 HF2 to Server 2012R2

Question

Hi I have an Orion platform running 2019.2. I wanted to use Netpath from a 2012R2 server to a destination. The agent installed on the 2012R2 server. But will not perform a Netpath Service and displaying No Data. I have created the same check using a 2016 server and this works fine. So the destination is listening on the port.

Can someone confirm that you can install the SW Agent on a 2012R2 server. But Netpath services (and maybe others) will not work?

Managed to resolve this issue. I ran a report of the agent plugin extensions and spotted that the Netpath plugin had not successfully installed. I copied the plugin files from a working server. Restarted the Agent service. This then resulted in a Jobfailure status in Netpath. Looking in the Netpath logs, there was an error for 'PcapDotNet.Core.dll' . I opened a support ticket and was advised to reinstall the Winpcap driver https://www.winpcap.org/install/default.htm. Installed this driver and the Netpath service now works.

Still having major issues with this. Would seem I can create the Netpath service from any of my 45 agents and have no issues. But is still showing the Grey unknown status from the 2 dev servers. I am currently going through the process of getting the AV exclusions in for the 2 servers. The Windows firewall is off and I have tested the port using Test-Netconnection successfully. Is there a log in the Agent Program data folder that details the Netpath status?

It's worth checking any Firewalls as well as AntiVirus - They often cause more problems than they fix.
