Monitor devices behind a firewall/router with NAT. Single IP

Question

Hi

What is the best way to monitor many devices behind an edge router? For example we have sites where they have an internet service with a single IP. We can use ports to and translate them back to 161 when they reach the LAN however Orion only wants to allow one device per IP.

Is there any way around this?

Can we stop orion trying to poll via ICMP if SNMP is active? Or can we have multiple nodes assigned to a single IP?

I wish you could poll multiple devices behind a single IP without VPN or NPM,

The best way is to build a LAN 2 LAN VPN tunnel and monitor all of the devices by their actual IP addresses.  If you dont have the ability to do that then you would need to do a distributed NPM install (where you have an NPM server at that location).
