SNMP test failed , when server have two NICs?

Hi all,

I have installed one windows 7 32 bit professional for application hosting. In that server i enabled SNMP services. That machine have two NIC cards. one NIC card acquired ip address as "192.168.24.21" (Its pinging from my pc) another NIC card acquires "172.17.104.2"(customer segment ip). when i add that server into solarwinds via SNMP, SNMP test was failed. what will i do?

As above confirm SNMP.

Also confirm that the SNMP service [Security] is configured with the anticipated SNMP string and that the hosts are set to all or the specific addresses for your servers.

Check Windows or AV Firewall.

Aside Notes:

* Some of the SNMP settings (community strings) can be set via GPO.
* If you change snmp on your server, do a restart to activate the changes.

Do you have the SNMP service installed on the machine? Have you tried running a packet capture on the Orion server and the SMTP server?
