Moving Maps between two Orion servers

Question

Hello!

I've got a problem I hope you can solve... . I have an old Orion server monitoring a very large network and the admin who had installed Orion created almost 200 maps!

In the next days I've got to install a new Orion 8 server from scratch (NO upgrade from the old version), rediscover our devices and import them in our new Orion: I'd like to avoid to recreate the maps too. There's a way to export the old maps and import them in the new Orion?

I think you are going to be out of luck if you aren't reusing the same database. The maps only know the nodes by their node ID, so if you create new nodes in the new system, the node IDs won't match the proper map objects. You will have the old backgrounds and graphics, but you'll have to place new nodes on the maps.

It seems to be straightforward... but I have a problem: I cannot import the old database, so can I import the old maps without the database?
