Multiple Node/Group Availability

Question

I have several nodes that all function as part of one application.  I need a way to represent the availability of all those nodes as a single entity and do so in a way that I can present to a restricted view for a customer.  Basically present the availability of that application to a customer that has a restricted view in Orion.

Having all of those nodes in a group and then using the group availability would work great but it seems that I can't lock a view down to only see a specific view.

Any thoughts on how I can accomplish this?

Thanks for the feedback, unfortunately none of these things will work for what I need.

Using specific maps is out because of the security bug that currently exists with maps.

There aren't any specific end-user account configurations that will group nodes together to act as one for availability.  These configurations also don't offer the ability to lock accounts to see only specific groups.

With Specific Maps you may be able to provide the granularity desired.

To deliver the specific view you wish to deliver to your end-user, configure the account settings

Even deliver custom menus, tabs, report, etc.

One point to remember with new updates may come new tabs (Example: Wireless and Virtualization). These are added globally.  That is the case with my example regarding Virtualization and NCM (These shouldn't be there).    If the group view extends into other "restricted" devices, you may be able to add a filter to the display.  Haven't had a need for that (yet).
