NPM connection to HP BSM

Question

Dear members,

I'm working in Corporation where NPM is going in evaluation period and is being tested to fulfill our requirements.

At this point, we're very happy with the product, however, one of upper management MUST is, to have NPM connected (for now) with HP BSM.

When I write, connected, I mean to have some alerts sent out to BSM.

Does anyone has experience doing this ?

How that can be performed ?

Thanks for replying, all.

We are going to have similar scenario (NPM using for network devices and currently, BSM for other events). Now, only BSM is in play, so NPM is on the way, as soon as we find out how to have them working together.

If that wouldn't be a problem for you, API connection to BSM would help us a lot - so you can share the details, here or private....as you wish.

I'm at an enterprise where we use SolarWinds almost exclusively for network monitoring and full suite of HP (MicroFocus I guess?) BSM that we use for an event management console for our NOC. We have two ways of ingesting SW alerts in BSM. One being through snmp traps to SiteScope which we have a script for processing the 'vars' into meaningful BSM events. We recently created an API call directly to BSM. If that sounds applicable to your use case, I can share further details.
