Can we integrate the Web User DB with TACACS

We are in a dead need of the TACACS integration of all my Web users with existing Cisco ACS .

All my network admins have their account on ACS and my Application security is forcing us on this integartion so that we can controll the user management and access.

I need this integration without disturbing the User view Limitation

I believe this request is their with the development team of Solarwinds from a long time but has their been a breakthough in this.

Also a feature like user account lockout after a fixed unsuccessful attempts.

Such features are i believe a minmum requirement for the customer who publish their NPM web console for other customers.

TACACS integration is on the roadmap, but to be as forthcoming as possible, it's not scheduled for the next release.

We use CiscoSecure ACS but don't see a need for Orion. Do you only use TACACS with local authentication? We tie TACACS to our Active Directory. The AD pass-thru works well. I agree more user control is needed like you suggest with unsuccessful attempts, or passwords needing to change after X amount of days if you use local password and not AD.

I know that this is an old note to reply to, but are there any news regarding the Solarwinds integration with TACACS+ server? We have Cisco ACS server. We are planning to add numerous clients to the Solarwinds system that we have and using a dedicated authentication server for that will reduce dramaticaly the amount of work involved in adding new users to Solarwinds.

Not yet, this is high on our list for a future release. Would AD work for you? As stated in previous post, you could hook that into TACACS

Just wanted to give my 2 cents..... I would prefer TACACS over AD.. The company I work has several IT related groups within the department, and the server guys would want AD integration, but us NE's prefer TACACS..

Is there a guide or some instructions for the Active Directory integration with Solarwinds?

We may do that instead of waiting for the future release now.

I would appreciate it.
