VoIP/QoS Monitioring - Cisco IP Phones

I've tried to search the forum for this sort of stuff and there are alot of different posts on it so I wanted to consolidate this to a single thread. With custom mib support I'd like to monitor our Cisco routers running QoS. We are deploying Cisco IP phones and using the VoIP and I'd like to be able to monitor the QoS queues and anything else people would suggest in monitoring our VoIP environment using Cisco IP phones.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was an module for this in the works for Orion.

Well....without letting the cat completely out of the bag, I will say that we are actively working on a VoIP module for Orion. That module leverages Cisco 's IP SLA to to monitor phones.

The key thing we will offer is the generation of synthetic VoIP calls across a WAN with real-time measures of the QoS of those calls. We'll be able to alert on drops in quality. We will also offer reporting.

In fact, we should have something that customers can beta this summer. Let me know if you'd be interested in beta testing.

I am interested in the beta of this. We have a large implementation of Cisco VoIP and are looking for something like this.

I would be interested in beta testing this as well.

We have 100+ Cisco VPN routers accross the U.S. with multiple phones connected to each router (vlan2 for voice & vlan1 for data) that all connect back to our Cisco Call Manager.

We're interested in Beta too - we just rolled out VoIP here nationwide - and I really don't want to invest the $$$ in Cisco's here-today -> gone-tomorrow management tools. We can/will wait for something better... this might be it!

We would be interested in Beta testing this also. We have a moderate installation of approximately 5000 Cisco VoIP devices (Phones, VTC Suties, etc) spreadout all across the world.

Hey Denny,

I'm ready to beta whenever!! I've been trying to put something together for IP SLA via the custom poller functionality and it's been a real pain. While we also have Cisco phones, I'm really just looking for the core IP SLA functionality to provide per link latency, jiiter, drops, etc.
