Noob q: Map is in warning state but all nodes are up/green

Question

Hello,

My first time posting on here so I thank all for any help.

I have a map that is showing as yellow or in "warning" state.  However, all nodes belonging to that map are all up and green.  I do not know why it could be showing in warning state.  Any insight would be appreciated.

I am using Solarwinds Orion NPM 9.0 SP1.

I know one issue I had was that I had icons under icons.  And when one went unknown the map turned yello but everything looked green.  Move the icons around to see if something is uncovered.

I don't know of any log or event you can check to see the reason a map is in a warning state.  The only other thing I could think of is if you happen to be using an additional web server to front end your Orion web site.  If changes to your map in Map Maker didn't get published to additional web server properly, your map could be showing in a warning state because the copy of the map on the additional web server has an orphened node on it.  Just a thought.

Hi Kryptos,

Check the network links on your map aswell - if they are not associated with interfaces anymore, or associated with interfaces that are warning, unknown  or down they could be causing this.
