A non-admin user to be able to edit and enable alerts?

Afternoon all..

Is it possible for a NPM user (non admin) to be able to turn on and off alerts, and edit them but NOT have any other 'admin' privileges?

I have a bunch of Sys Admins that need to turn on and off their individual SMS alerts for when they come off/go on oncall.

I want this to be controlled by themselves via the web front end, rather than badger the Network Team (who manage SolarWinds and have admin access)

RDP'ing to the machine running solarwinds to do this is not an option.

As far as I can see, you need admin rights to the web front end to be able to enable/disable alerts.

Is there any other way.?

Advanced Alert Manager is not currently capable of running remotely like Network Atlas is.

We added in 10.1 the ability to do some basic management of Advanced Alerts into the web console

You can control alerts in Advanced Alert Manager without using the web at all.

All Programs -> SolarWinds Orion -> Alerting, reporting and mapping -> Advanced Alert Manager

Or can they install 'Advanced Alert Manager' on their local machines?

Overall the administration capabilities for the user accounts needs to have more granularity.

The ability to delegate specific admin capabilities such as node management tied to the account limitation builder type filters is very much wished for

Indeed.. I need them to manage their own alerts, adjust the times and possibly (in the future) change the alert conditions.

RDP'ing to the SolarWinds box or giving them admin rights to the web front end is not an option.
