Orion 9 point to new db - dialog boxes are behind Wizard

Question

When moving our Orion 9 db to a new server this AM and running the Wizard to point to it, the dialog boxes (for example: "User does not have permission to create new database, connect to existing?") came up behind the Wizard boxes and I could not get to them to click OK and move on.  It was pretty funny.  I had to use task manager to shut down the Wizard, then when I started it up again I had to move the Wizard window way to the side so I would be able to reach the dialog boxes to proceed.  I imagine you will want to fix this...

Also, once the Wizard was complete, I got an error on NPM startup "Cannot connect to <servername>".  I noted that the NPM service was in a stuck "stopping" state.  I rebooted the server and all was well.

I have been working with the DEVs trying to just get v9.0 to load and run all week.

It keeps having a error #48 during the configuration wizard and is not loading the OrionNPMWeb.Application which is the web engine.  System Manager runs fine and collects data just cannot get the website up and running.

anyway glad to hear it is running for someone on 64bit.  Was starting to think I had gone to far out on the Leading Edge and was starting in on the Bleeding Edge.

What do you mean about getting version 9 running with x64?  We are running 64-bit Windows 2003 server on both our Orion box and SQL box.  So far it's fine.  What are your experiences?

you are not alone.

seems the errors i have been getting on installing v9 have been doing the same.

for me i just click on the application in the task bar and minimize the wizard there and that lets you see the error.

good luck on v9 it seems to be a bear to get it running right especially on x64.
