Using SW NPM Stats in external graph tool

Hello,

I have a requirement to use RRDTool w/ Solarwinds NPM stats (on a limited basis ie: few customers, based on custom property).

Basically it is a work-around until we can get our Customer Portal re-worked to utilize EOC or hooking into our IIS server.

has anyone attempted to pull stats from SW into MRTG or RRDTool or any external tool like this?

I was thinking of possibly just running a perl script to pull the stats via the API every hour to populate, or maybe to prevent overhead on the API engine to hit the SQL Server via ODBC instead.

Ok, I have my perl DBI module and MSSQL drivers installed and can connect to SW DB with no issues.

Next up, Try to mimic a SQL query to build out a csv file which will be consumed by the cricket graph tool for the stats.
