I've built a report and it looks great in the Preview window, but when I go to view it on the Web in IE or Firefox, it doesn't look the same. The groupings are not the same on the web as they are in the preview?
Is this expected?
What version of IE and FF do you have?
M
FF 3.6.3
IE 7.0.5730.13
It doesn't look the same in the PDF output either ... PDF output looks like the web. report viewer looks different.
I have this problem as well, I opened a support ticket on it back in February and the last response I received indicated that it was a confirmed bug. Below is my ticket information along with the last response I have received, I have still not received an ETA on the fix.Case #143766 - "Report Writer: Reports in the webUI don't look like they do in report writer"Hello Byron
This is a confirmed bug with Orion, the development team is actively working this issue. We will update you shortly when there will be an ETA for a fix.
Thanks
Interesting... I upgraded to 10 this morning, and it seems to be fixed now!
I had a ticket open as well and got a response the other day that it was fixed in 10. I haven't had a chance to upgrade yet to test it out.
mine do not work at all when scheduled, they keep timing out.
I had the same issues and discovered that I needed to create the reports differently, it all had to do with what fields I brought in first, and what I sorted..
Once I got it though then everything works just fine, although it still seems to be a bug since you'd think they'd look the same..

I'm running v10 and I'm still seeing this problem. When viewing the Report writer preview, I see a well formatted landscape report, Solarwinds icon and all. But when I actually generate the report and automatically email it, I get very poor layout, my last field (xmit percent util) has some font's larger than the rest. Also, there's no icon's available.
Sad to say the business would like some "prettier". Any suggestions?
Shannon.
