I'm curious about how this chart is calculated.
Assume, for example, that I'm monitoring all of the interfaces mentioned below except the client.
It seems possible that a single byte traveling from a server, through 2 interfaces (in & out) of a switch, then through 2 interfaces (in & out) of a router, 2 more of another router, then through 2 more interfaces of a switch before arriving at the client could be counted on the "Total Bytes" chart as 9 bytes, rather than just one.
Is this the case? I'd argue that only one byte has traversed the "Entire Network" and if the above is true it seems I'm overstating Total Bytes by 9x.
