Is Orion capable to sift report's connection load into secondary DB cluster node.

Question

As solarwinds support sql always on DB  and Db instance is capable to set as ApplicationIntent=ReadOnly for any connection

Is there any option in Solarwinds to sift the all reports connection load to 2nd DB cluster node, So we can  do some improvement in application performance.

For ssrs based reports we usually just embed html widgets in Orion to be able to access them from "within" the web console. It does cause a situation where end users can't create that category of reports on their own in the native console, but if they NEEDED it and knew how to work in SSRS I'd just give them appropriate access there.  Almost any org that is big enough to be exceeding the capabilities of the Orion database architecture as it is will have some kind of business analytics tools in place such as ssrs/powerbi/tableau/etc and someone on staff with the appropriate skills to integrate it into a custom html page.

You can create a feature request for a native db warehouse and people will vote it up, if it gets a lot of votes the SW dev's may prioritize that kind of thing, but I suspect you will find that only a small slice of the SW clients are at a large enough scale or use reports heavily enough to justify the cost of developing the feature.  A strong majority of the customers are not running SQL enterprise licenses in HA with the need/capability to add read only nodes.

data warehouse and SSRS all is good in Microsoft technology,

How solarwinds application will connect to data warehouse or secondary database, this is the question ?.

if the requested functionality is not available in solarwinds then SolarWinds developer should work on it for better application performance perspective.

There's not any built in capabilities to do so.  In cases like that I typically find it easiest to just set up my own data warehouse and build SSRS reports or similar to pull the data I need from it.  Also allows me to keep shorter retention periods in the application so performance is strong for real time stuff and we can refer out to the reports for long term trending.
