Are you creating the map s on the server via RDP or Terminal Services or are you using remote admin? There were issues when creating or editing a map using RDP-
The low color mode becomes inherited into the map- You may need to re-create the map all together

If you would like the nodes to indicate that there is an issue with one of its monitored 'child objects' (such as interfaces, volumes etc), right click on the device, then go to Properties. Check the "Show Child Status Also" checkbox.A red dot will show up on the device graphic / led graphic if there is an issue with one of the interfaces/volumes etc on that device.
Creating a parent/child maps will allow you to still have one map on your home page, and only one icon on that map for a number of different devices. Now when you click on that map you would then be able to see the all of the devices on a different map, and when any of those devices go down, it would then bleed up to the top icon, and show you something went down. To create a parent/child maps please select and open the map you would like to have as your parent map. Then create another map, and close it. You can then drag that map onto the map as you would a Node, or Interface and place it on the map where you want. Save the map, and refresh your website. It'll then update itself, and if anything on the child map goes down it'll show on the top map, and also allow you to click on that icon and see the other devices listed out.
