inquiry about study materials

Hello thwack best community ,

I am preparing to the SCP exam. I know exactly where to locate study materials & videos (too short)

The problem is nothing is arranged. Everyone keep posting individually without having an organized series explains the whole story.

I am a newbie,and i'm asking if there is a document that i can follow step by step (how to enable snmp on routers, how to add them on solar,etc....).

Darragh had some good advice there too. SCP is a general networking exam focused on SolarWinds software.

Hi There,

I recently passed the Solarwinds exam and I used the following resources to prepare

- Study guides and videos which you mentioned

- NPM admin guide : www.solarwinds.com/.../OrionAdministratorGuide.pdf

- Installed a trial version of NPM so that I did not need to mess with my live version. This allowed me to make lots of changes without having to worry about messing things up

- I also passed the Cisco CCNA course and from this I learned a lot about the OSI model. You really need to know the OSI model well. Lots of learning material for that out there. From wiki pages to PDF's like this www.routeralley.com/.../osi.pdf

@Swsean , I went through every single link. I've discovered also the power of solar search engine.

I will be working on collecting what we got in hand to arrange a series. This will be the thread of the newbies to begin.If anyone else wants to share anything , your most welcome.
