Server's snmpd receiving 31,000 queries a day from Solar Winds

I have a linux host running mysql. I have a regular host check monitoring CPU and disk and memory every 120 seconds. Then in Applications monitor I have it setup to check status of mysql (availability, CPU usage) every five minutes. Yet the host is seeing four snmp query packets every second - 31,000 or so a day. it seems excessive. Anyone have some advice on how to troubleshoot this? Thank you.

I'd start with a packet capture on the linux device. This will give some insight into what is being polled. Also a packet cap from the Orion server would be useful.

I used wireshark and saw that it was only four queries a minute except every five minutes is was perhaps 100 get-next requests. And as I thought about it - 31,000 in a day isn't such a great number - 24 a minute on average. Someone had raised a concern. But much ado about nothing really.
