Map Icons display wrong on web page
tom-g
I have several maps, and when you look at them in map maker, they are displayed with the proper icons. On the website however they show up as cirles. Everyone accessing the site is seeing the same wrong images. Does anyone have any suggestions.
Thanks
Tom

What Icons are you using? If you size them to small in map maker, they display as dots on the web page. Have you tried to re-sized the icons just a little bit larger?

I am using larger icons, the dots are showing up pretty big

okay... Which Icon group are you trying to use?
Are you creating the map(s) on the server via RDP or Terminal Services? or are you using remote admin? Either way try resizeing your desktop to match the servers display settings when you edit the map and save it.

I've had the same issue... I used a network cloud in my map maker and it's getting pushed out to the website as a common circle/dot.

Same problem here: mapmaker shows them correctly as clouds, web pages shows them as generic dots.

cloud... there are several cloud icons some scale/display better than others. Generally anything smaller than 20x10 is going to show up as a circle.

I have buildings, servers, network switches, all kinds of things and everything is a circle. It worked fine when i was running 7.8.5. I am now running 8.0.2

Does anyone have any other suggestions for this. It is making the maps look horrible and i really want them to display correctly again
Thanks

Same issue here...I posted a while back and no resolution.

I had this problem with 6.x, I believe. Do you configure the maps using Remote Desktop? If so, can you try configuring a map from the console of the Orion server? If that does not solve the problem, I remember that when I was having the issue, the problem was with the icons that Solarwinds packaged with the older versions of Orion.
