Error Configuring Orion

I have my solarwinds database on a windows 2003 server. I have built a new windows 2012 r2 server which I am migrating the database to. I have installed solarwinds on the new 2012 server and generated a new license key. I am now going through the configuration Wizard to complete the set up. I am stuck at a erro below:

'Website configuration failed: Failure updating ASP.NET script maps'

I have googled and seen that this is meant to fix the issue -

Open a command prompt, Start > All Programs > Accessories >Command Prompt.
Open Volume:C:\InetPub\AdminScripts\.
Run the following:
cd <em>Volume:</em>C:\InetPub\AdminScripts\
where Volume: is the volume on which you have installed your local operating system. Typically, this is C:
At the prompt, run the following:
cscript.exe adsutil.vbs set W3SVC/AppPools/Enable32BitAppOnWin64 true
On the same volume, browse to Volume:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.net\Framework\v4.0.30319\ (enter cd <em>Volume:</em>\WINDOWS\Microsoft.net\Framework\v4.0.30319\).
At the prompt, run the following:
aspnet_regiis -i
Restart the Configuration Wizard, Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Configuration and Auto-Discovery > Configuration Wizard.

When I try to run I receive the following error: 'This option is not supported on this version of the operating system. Administrators should instead install/uninstall ASP.NET 4.5 with IIS8 using the "Turn windows features on/off" dialog, the server manager management tool, or the dism.exe command line tool. For more details please see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=216771.'

Any help would be great as im stuck!

Also since the link for help was for NPM11.5 I'd almost recommend opening a support case and then calling them unless someone here on thwack has seen something like this before.

this is resolved. I managed to get this working. Bare in mind im using NPM v10.0 (which is like 7 years old). I added roles and features of just ASP.NET 3.5 roles. In IIS I changed the application pools configurations. I changed the solarwinds orion app pool to .NET version 2 from 4, and from integrated to classic. I also done this for the default appl pool. Then re ran the congiration wizard (didnt bother re running the command in cmd) and I got less errors, decided to start up solarwinds and it works.
