Adding nodes to Orion NPM. I received the following message when adding a Windows 2003 Server:
The node does not respond with the community string public.

Have you setup the community string on the 2003 server? Did you allow the ip address of the Orion server?

How can we set community string on a Windows 2003 Server?

Right-click My Computer & choose Manage.
Expand Services and Applications.
Do you see 'SNMP Service'? If so you have snmp installed so just double-click it and it should open the properties. Check the security tab settings.

You're right. I have to configure the SNMP service to make
it possible to add in Orion.
Thanks.
