I have given office 365 SMTP settings. Test message sending successfully, but e-mail action getting failed when event generate.

what happens when you simulate the trigger? Click "simulate" as shown in the below screenshot:

Then try testing with both "simulate" and "execute":

What happens when you click each of these buttons?

Keep in mind "simulate" will just give you a preview of your email. "execute" will actually send the email.

It looks like the SMTP server is denying it based off the sendas address. are you sure that your sendas info is correct?

Hi all,

I have done simulate and execute commands. Preview is coming correctly after simulate, but error coming at the time of execute.

But SMTP test mail is working fine.

Hi all,

Problem solved. Find the below troubleshooting steps...

-Upon testing the default SMTP server, it successfully sends the mail.
-Checked a sample alert and found out that the configured email sender is "noreply@solarwinds.com"
-It is not a valid sender for your SMTP server.
-Change the reply address to a valid sender and simulate again.
-It is now sending email.
