Installed SP4 and now issues

Hello,

I just installed SP4 and I can log into the Orion webpage from a remote PC but when I try to open system manager on the local machine, it says Cannot connect to TESTSWO01 (servers name) with NetPerfMon the title of the little dialog box.

At the end of the SP4 install, I did notice errors given by the installer saying cannot uninstall certain services as they could not be found. I also rebooted after the install and when it came back up and logged back in, I was prompted to send reports because there was 50 SolarWinds.BusinessLayerHost application errors, it also never started the baseline even after being up for 15 minutes.

Any help would be great. Thanks

I would re-run the configuration wizard again

Yes I manually stopped all the services as the netpermon services has a hard time stopping and re-ran the configuration. I still got 2 errors but now it is working. Thanks

Has there been any improvements for environment with large amounts of nodes. One issue that I have run into is that netperfmon.exe does not stop or start as fast as the config wizard would like and they throws errors or fails do to reaching the time limits.

I notice this too. I just added 850 devices yesterday and the service can't stop start on its own anymore.

Experiencing exact issue. Just installed NPM 9.1 SP4 - after install - Attempts to run System Manager says it can't connect to "orion server name". I was about to follow advice offered and rerun config wizard, and I thought to check the Orion Service Manager - "SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor" was stopped - just had to start it. It didn't autostart after installing SP4. All is fine now.
