Here's a nice generic problem. When I try to add a node, more specificly a Alpha UPS with an SNMP management module, I get "cannot communicate with device using XYZ SNMP string" or such.
Yet when I take an existing monitored node and change the IP address to the same one that Orion just refused to add, it accepts it, polls it and rediscovers without any issues. It picks up correct info and everything. I've verified that I'm using the correct SNMP version and RW string.
Its not a license issue (255 or so out of 500 license). I'm getting around this by adding a test cisco router (which I can add with no issue) and then changing the IP address to the Alpha UPS.
Has anyone else had this issue?
