disable the web session timeout ?

We have a videowall where I project our solarwinds website and the overview of the current problems.
I want that page to be open all the time and updated, but I don't know how to disable the session timeout.
Currently the website session is lost on a daily basis !

Hi Dax, welcome to Solarwinds,

If your Orion server is part of the Windows AD that the monitoring PC is logged into, then you can use Pass-thru authentication & never have your web page timeout.

I think the question is somewhat misleading ?

I'm able to log on without any problems ( don't care at the moment if I use pass-trhu or not ) but after some time approx 1 day or so I get the logon page back and need to relogon.
The session is not changed during the day.

Sorry I couldn't be any help, but let me phrase that another way.

When you setup pass-thru authentication, you never get the logon page & the web page will display forever, as long as your AD account is valid. Trust me, this works. I can leave my home page open all week long with no timeouts or logon screens.

If you don't want to use pass-thru, then set your session timeout to 1440 minutes & you will only be forced to login once a day....

So Orion makes no provision for NOC environments that might want this up on the screen all the time? We're weeks away from purchasing Orion and I can already hear my NOC users complaining about this.

I have Orion in our NOC. The way I worked around this problem was to create the 'Dirct Link Account' The PC that was having the image broadcast on the wall was given a link to the actual web page on the NetPerfMon website.

Thats all I had to do. I use a map of the entire network with a limitation of only allowing the Direct Link account to drill down one level from the map. I also removed the menu bar from the direct link account to slean up the picture.
