Orion 9.1 SP2 install failure

Question

When I attempt to install the latest service pack I get the following errors at the end of the install.

Services configuration failed:        
    •  Error stopping service "NetPerfMonService".  Service did not stop in a timely manner.
    •  Error starting service "NetPerfMonService".  Service did not start in a timely manner.

I have performed a reboot - same result

I have manually stopped services - same result

Any suggestions?

I just discovered that I have the same results upgrading from 9.0 to 9.1 - timeout errors starting or stopping the NetPerfMon service. It happened during the upgrade as well as when I applied SP1. Additionally, the same occurred on my Hot-Standby node - both with the upgrade and SP1 install. A quick glance shows that all of my settings and nodes are intact however. Also, a restart showed that the service *did* start normally- so there shouldn't be any manual involvment to start the service every time the system reboots.

For what it's worth, we have 732 Nodes, 2869 Interfaces, 1995 Volumes, and 5596 Total Elements in our environment, so I don't know if that has something to do the service timeouts.

I also had this issue with both SP1 and SP2 - and on the SP1 upgrade I stopped the services prior to the service pack install.

After clicking Finish everything seemed normal, but I opened a ticket after the SP1 upgrade and was told that this error always happens.  On today's SP2 I didn't bother stopping the services first and everything seems fine.  So far.

I had the same issue installing SP2, I manually ended the process and if finished without any issues.
