Hey,
Just to confirm you upgrade NPM first then modules?
Any tips on the upgrade?
Thanks
That's exactly what we did.The process itself is " Run the EXE, Next, Next, Finish" but then you have to go through the Config Wizard. The more modules you have the longer it will take. Our install was very smooth, but it did take a long time. There are SQL schema changes and the new v10 seems to be better at finding orphans, so the first housekeeping takes a while too. You might want to take a look at the tables in SQL to see if there's any large tables that you can prune and pack, that will help speed it along.
Thanks, what do you need to do for SQL schema changes??
Thanks again
just run the exe & the changes all happen as part of the install.
The only issue is time, but if you've got a big window to do the upgrade in, then don't worry.
Hi,
I have a question related to the upgrade, how do I see what modules and versions I currently have installed? Also, do I need to manually upgrade any modules I have installed? thanks
I have downloaded the software for NTA, APM. Would i run those first before installing v10?
I don't know what versions you are running, but if you start with the new NPM it will tell you if there are any module dependancies. Also there's a ReadMe in the ZIP ythat describes dependancies.
and, depending on your NPM version, browse to the admin tab & take a look under the Details section for Module Details to find the version numbers. On the older NPMs you may have to take a look at the Customise settings of each module.
