Capture Multicasting traffic

Question

I am trying to report Muticating traffic. There is a web report available in Orion however there is never any traffic. Seeing this and knowing that it is inaccurate I used a couple of Solarwinds Engineers Tools. One being Real Time Interface Monitor and the second SNMP Real Time Graph.  I then had my network engineer join the router I was monitoring. SNMP Realtime Graph captured the traffic (OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.83.1.1.4.1.7). Real Time Interface Monitor saw the traffic as unicast and the web console got nothing. Obviously there is something wrong. Any help is appreciated.

Also the tool set and and NPM are on the same box.

Thanks NG......It would be nice to hear from Solarwinds regarding this especially since I have an open tkt.

Anyhow maybe you can clear up some of the confusion.....should I expect to see multiple devices with multicast traffic or just one. And why did the toolset see the traffic differently?

I suggest sniffing between your Orion server & switch & look for the interface OID that Orion is polling to collect the Multicast stats.
You should be able to compare this to what you have already discovered with the EE toolset.
