I have a Emerson Vertiv I'm testing loading into NPM for monitoring before we adopt into our network. This gives me time to really mess with custom pollers and get the info we really want alerting out of Solarwinds using my bench test.
The issue I'm running up against is the poller doesn't reset its value. I can get it to show that alerts triggered on the device using the EES-POWER-MIB:alarmDescription and the last polled timestamp, but when the alerts clear off the device they never clear off the Universal Device Poller resource. I was hoping to build a report around this that would show me all the active alerts (including some minor ones I define on the Vertiv) for maintenance purposes, so not truly alerts.
Any suggestions for how to get the poller to reset and display correctly on the device?
