Orion NPM - Integrating into AD

I want to make Orion NPM use AD credentials instead of its built in userlist. Is this possible? If so, how? Searches resulted in mentioning that it might be possible, but nothing as to how to make it happen.

You cannot currently do this today in NPM, but we are planning on adding some form of AD support in the next release.
