Symbol WS5100 support

I believe Symbol MIB's are now supported.
What I would like clarified is whether full support of WS5000 and WS5100 is available.
What I need to do is drop AP's onto a map. Currently the only way I can check the status of a Symbol access port is to drag the interface on the Cisco switch which the AP connects to onto the map - not the best solution.
Does the Wireless module create the AP's as elements to allow me to place them on a map.
NOTE: - I am not interested in Symbol fat AP support - I am speaking about AP300, AP200 and AP100 being controlled by WS5000's and WS5100's.
Clarification would be greatly appreciated

It is quite worrying that no-one from Solarwinds answers these types of questions. There is another thread that dates back to 2005, asking the same question, but no-one has bothered to answer it. I raised a case with Solarwinds but no-one has bothered to reply to that either. I am now seriously considering moving to Airwave on the hope that their support is better.
Is this really an Enterprise-class product if this is the level of support you receive??

To the best of my knowledge the Orion Wireless Network Monitor does not currently support Wireless LAN controllers such as Symbols wireless switches. I am currently running Cisco WiSM modules and AireSpace controllers, none of which are supported by Orion Wireless Network Monitor at this time. I'm hopeful that these will be supported in the future.

Currently, the Orion Wireless module collects AP information from IEEE802dot11-MIB compliant wireless APs. The module also collects detailed client and session data from most Cisco devices, HP switches, Aruba devices, and some Avaya devices. In future releases, we plan to add additional AP device support.

The Orion Map Maker allows you to add any managed device to the map. This would include Access Points that you add to Orion. Each of the interfaces/ports can also be incorporated on the map. As long as the Symbol access point is SNMP enabled and the ports are included in the standard interfaces table, you should be able to add the Symbol access point to the Orion map and any of its managed ports.

Is NCM / NPM supporting Motorola wireless switches now ? - I think i read somewhere that NCM would in a comming release ?

Any plans for NPM ?

Hey guys,

Just a heads up in response to this, i have RFS7000's in solarwinds now with NPM and NCM, they get drive space, ram, ping / latency etc but i dont seem to get any controller monitoring.

I have not tried to set this up yet, its just straight out of the discovery.

Just to add a viewpoint from somebody with them added to Orion.
