1. check if you have the correct connection profile

2. verify if sw server could reach your device over ssh/telnet in your firewall

for further clarification in building these to info in NCM, its better seek assistance with SW support. they could explain each line much better.

Actually I've already tried to create templates but I faced lots of problems. so If I should try to make configuration and upgrade and device templates by my self which is took lots of time to trouble shooting issues in the middle of creation what's the point. I'm testing solarwinds NCM to see if it's compatible with rugged com switch and routers as they have told it is. but if there is no template for ruggedcom there it's not worth to work with SolarWinds.

You may want to try this community template out - (+) RuggedCom - Device Templates - Network Configuration Manager - THWACK (solarwinds.com).  I don't believe we have this device in the lab, but ping me if you still encounter issues or go back to your sales rep.

Thanks for your answer. I've already seen that page and I have put my comment there. It was not helpful. the template is too basic and even basic it wasn't working

I strongly recomment openning a ticket to sw support. They easily help you on this device template. 

If you do. SW support will be asking couple of commands used by the device, for them to assist faster.  

These commands are like step by step commands from logging in to the device to show run config to copy config commands.
