Can someone let me know if its possible to get a complete inventory, (including serial numbers) of our network devices in Solarwinds

Hi,
Generally yes, but individual inventory reports may be applicable only to certain vendors or models.
The inventory is collected over SNMP; if some device doesn't respond to certain OIDs, these values cannot be collected.
Specifically, serial numbers are collected reliably.

Like to clarify if Inventory Reports (From NCM) is collected from SNMP or NCM SSH?

Inventory is SNMP but you could "work around" that with SSH if that node is not support Inventory mibs.
I use Juniper & Cisco "show hw commands" to monitor the change in HW by backing up those show outputs.
