NPM Import Job

I modified my Orion NPM to NCM import job to map the Unmanaged field from NPM to a new custom field. However when I run the job, it's not merging the existing data with my current nodes, therefore I'm unable to get a managed or unmanaged status.

Any idea to be able to update my custom unmanaged field from NPM status?

Can you edit your devices and verify that the "Orion Node Import" allow field is set to "yes"? We inadvertently set this to "no" by default. This is changed in 6.0, but in 5.5.x you'd need to change this manually using a bulk node edit.

I think what is happening is that my Import job is just skipping over the existing nodes. I'm trying to make the Unmanaged Custom property in NCM tied to the UnManaged status from NPM and have it update daily with my import job.

Right, there is a field called "Allow Orion Import" on each device. If it is set to "no" (which it is by default in 5.5.x), the import process will simply skip over them.

I updated that, as well as skipped over the "Only Add New Nodes" option. Works like a charm, now I'm not trying to download configs for unmanaged devices!
