Configuration Wizard failing

Question

I have been trying to run the NCM configuration wizard to install the web portion of the program.

The program works fine as a stand alone but i need the website integration.

When i run the configuration wizard it stop and issues a stop asking about "Microsoft Internet Information Services or some of it component were not detected."

I went ahead and click yes to install the missing IIS components.  Then it fails and says that you need to install it manually and then run the Configuration wizard again.

I have everything working on the webpage except this.

Any help would be great

Hi Venkypa--

Doug mentioned looking in the Evaluation Guide, not the Admin Guide. From what I can tell, the guide says that minimal requirements for an Orion Network Configuration Manager installation are for IIS Version 6 or later. So you are good there.

I noticed the Eval guide doesn't mention Enabling IIS on Windows 2008 so I'll check on that and get back to you.

Thanks for the response. Idid search the admin guide but cannot find anything more than what you have mentioned. My server is windows 2008 and it has IIS7. I cannot find anywhere in the guide the details of what components are required in IIS7.

On solarwinds.com under support you'll see the Evaluation Guide for the current release (5.5.2). It steps through the IIS config for the supported operating systems.
