Map Maker feature?

We currently use Cacti (blah) to show the higher ups the bandwidth utilization across the main nodes of our network. The only reason it's still around is because it shows the does show that % of the bandwidth being used on the maps. From what I can see, Map Maker doesn't do this does it?

We have the entire suite of SolarWinds here at work...

any help would is greatly appreciated. This would be a great resource in a newer version.

Map maker can display utilisation and response times see below, just create them in a normal txt box. We use them on our WAN map on each segment again to show the managers how much the WAN's being utilised.

In Util: ${inpercentutil}
Out Util: ${outpercentutil}

Response Time ${AvgResponseTime}

hey, thanks for the quick response. I created a text box and copied that info from above to it. But how do i make it work? do i have to link it to an object? do you know where i can find some documentation on how to set it up? thanks!

I just entered them into a text box and they worked.

i just got it to work. i was thinking i'd be able to see it when i'm in map maker. once i opened it via the web, i was able to see what i needed. thanks a lot!

I thought this only shows the stats for one of the devices in the link? The Cacti shows interfaces on both sides. I know there were talks of incorporating the Weather Map functionality into Orion, but I haven't checked if the latest release works the same way.

Following the above example, elect the node's interface and add the counters you want.
You may then elect to connect the interfaces together.

It is not easy work!

Is there a way to make the dot in the network map show a different color based on utilization?

Not yet, but this is something I have on my list to enhance the Atlas product
