Cisco cards data on 6500s, 7600s and so forth
submikester
My infrastructure has a number of cisco devices types.
7200s, 2600s which I can get the Cisco Card info on
but my 7600s, 6500s and 5500s (and maybe more) don't show this info. the info is obtainable from the devices but Cirrus doesn't seem to have it.
Am I wrong?

Submikester,
Are you doing a full inventory? Getting the Cisco Cards information from these devices should not be a problem. How would you feel about getting in touch with support on this?
Thanks,
Greg

Yes, I believe I did a full inventory - I'll check it but I'm pretty sure I did. There is actually a lot of data missing for these platforms.
I called Tech support as I was posting here; I'm still waiting on a resolution. They said that of course it should be getting the data but it isn't. I even looked in the database to see if it was there which it is not.
They said they needed to connect directly to me which I can arrange however I didn't buy the product to be their QA. Don't have time for that - that's why I bought something off the shelf. Otherwise I'd have reinvented the wheel and written my own scripts (again).

I am having the same issue. Tech support was no assistance. Did you ever get a resolution for this?

Within Cirrus, the Cisco Cards Inventory section is pulling data from the OLD-CISCO-CHASSIS-MIB, which is still supported on some Ciso devices. Ciso states that for some newer IOSs and devices, "the OLD-CISCO-CHASSIS-MIB describes chassis objects in devices running an older implementation of the Cisco IOS operating system. Those objects are now described in the ENTITY-MIB." You can view this information within Cirrus by selecting "Physical Entities" within the Inventory drop-down.

I believe they have fixed it in their 3.0 release of the software.
