Ever since I started using Cirrus (now Orion NCM) I have been using the “Manage devices using and individual set of login credentials per device” option. I want to change that to the “Manage devices using a combination of individual set of login credentials per device and user account device login credentials” so I can allow people to send commands to the devices using their permissions. When I enable this option and set my devices to ‘User’ Login Credentials, what account will it use during my Nightly Config Backup scheduled job? According to the scheduled job dialog box “This job will communicate with your devices using the Orion Network Configuration Manager user account device credentials for all devices that have the Login Credentials filed set to ‘User’. For all other devices, Orion Network Configuration Manager will use the individual credentials stored within the Device Details window.” Maybe it’s just me, that that is really confusing. I read it like 5 times and I still don’t understand. I have a specific backup account that I want to use to backup all these configs with (not my personal account). I currently have the Nightly Config Backup job set to run as the local Administrator account on the server. I tried adding the local Administrator account to NCM and specifying the backup account’s username and password on the Administrator’s Device Login Credentials, but that did not work. It seems to be running as my account when it logs into the router. How do I change that???
