Device Support Customization?
skaczkowski
All,
We have a number of Cisco 4000/4500 chassis running Sup III's and IV and various flavors of IOS and it seems that they're not quite supported correctly and I'm curious what can be done about it.
I've tried to contact support about this, but haven't really gotten a good answer out of them (yet!), maybe this post will help..
What I'm seeing is that when Cirrus discovers one of these boxes and I do an Inventory on it I cannot get any card information out of it, the report just comes out blank. From what support told me some devices are supported under the Entity MIB so those functions may not work.
If I hit the Physical Entities report I can see my slots listed, but it has no idea what's in them, just says they're a chassis slot. If I do the Cisco Specific Details report it just comes back saying -1 slots which is obviously totally wrong..
So I'm curious what others have done in this situation, are you pressing the Solarwinds crew for better support or is there a way to fix this on my own by doing some customization of the scripts?
Thanks in advance!
