Is there a way to add a node straight from the web console of NCM?
Thanks.
Not today, but our plan is certainly to make more and more capabilities from the desktop application available in the web console with each release (as evidenced by 5.0 and now 5.1).
I'm curious, is this the highest priority item you'd like to see made available from the web console or are there other actions/operations you'd like to see first?
For me this would be top priority. I would like to be able to manage devices from the web console just like we can now do from NPM.
Thanks

I'd prefer adding the node in NCM (we need more information there) and have NCM add the deivce into NPM. I think the current process on NPM -> NCM is backwards. I don't want all monitored systems going into our configuration manager.
If/when we extend NPM node management to allow for managing NCM nodes, our thinking is that we would make the addition to NCM optional. If the user selected to add node to NCM, the user woudl then be able to fill in the required NCM-specific information for that node. Orion NPM would become your centralized web console for node management across both NPM and NCM.
Does this make sense? Or would you still push for NCM > NPM? If so, we'd definitely like to understand any use-cases we're missing.
