Config Download - Dell

Question

I love the feature of downloading the Cisco config files but now I want to do the same for our Dell switches.  I can create a job to ssh into the switches and download the configs.  But, what I'm wanting is to download the configs the same way Cirrus does the Cisco switches.  I would like to be able to view the configs from the Node List within Cirrus.  Currently, My configs are download to the generic tftp folder.  Has anyone done this for Dell or any other brands?  Thanks, Jeff

Cirrus includes support from devices from more than 16 vendors out of the box and this support can be extended by creating/modifying device templates.  The requirements for Cirrus to be able to automatically download the configs and store them in the Cirrus database is that the device can store the configs as text files and that the device has a cli.  Cirrus includes device templates for Dell PowerConnect switches.  If your Dell devices are Dell PowerConnect switches and Cirrus is unable to login to the device when you double-click on the device, select Actions > Validate Login, then within the same Device Details screen, change the Device Command Template field from Auto Determine to Dell PowerConnect Switch.  Then try to Validate Login again and select Actions > Download Configs.

Additionally, Cirrus will only store the configs in the database if you use Cirrus' download config feature versus setting up a script to download the configs.
